Living off Campus
New residential neighborhood
New residential quarter in Panketal: the housing association HOWOGE is providing affordable apartments near the campus. The apartments are due to be let at the end of 2024.
After completion at the end of 2024, the Berlin housing association HOWOGE will take over the apartments into its portfolio, rent them out and manage them. In line with its social mission, HOWOGE is building affordable housing. The average rent for the 1- to 5-room apartments will be less than ten euros per square meter.
Just 250 meters from the Berlin city limits, im close promximity to the Buch clinics and research campus, 221 state-owned rental apartments are being built in the municipality of Panketal.
The new building complex on Eichenring consists of two U-shaped buildings with three to five storeys, which form a horseshoe shape from a bird's eye view. The building arrangement is inspired by the horseshoe settlement designed by Bauhaus architects Bruno Taut and Martin Wagner in Berlin-Britz. The Eichenring also stands for affordable living space for a diverse range of residents.
In addition to affordable rental apartments, around 840 square meters of commercial space for seven commercial units will also be built on the 17,600 square meter site.
Restaurants, service providers and doctors' offices are to move in here in line with local demand.
Make a pre-registration now and be informed when letting starts.
