Metabolomics and proteomics are rapidly evolving into essential technologies of discovery research, translational science, clinical
development, and bioprocessing. This seminar will introduce the basic concepts of LC/MS-based metabolomics and proteomics
technologies, discuss “Next-Generation” approaches, and cover everything from project design and sample collection to
bioinformatic analyses. We will illustrate the usefulness of those technologies for biomarker identification and pathway elucidation
through case studies and we demonstrate integrated multi-omic analysis within multiple disease contexts.
